Intarsia 'in the round' is a seamless way to achieve a block of colour in hats, toys, sweaters, mittens etc. It is not technically knitting in the round as the work is turned and purled each row, but, it looks like knitting in the round and is completely seamless.
The method of intarsia in the round that I use looks completely seamless, many other methods are essentially flat intarsia with the seam at the back closed as you work, this method gives a much neater finish.
This nine page photo tutorial includes:
The finished cozy is 4.75 inches long by 3 inches wide when knit with worsted weight yarn (or DK weight yarn held doubled) on US 7 (4.5mm) needles.
The tutorial and included sample pattern have been extensively test knit and professionally edited. It is available to buy for $2.99 through Ravelry (where you can also view other customer's comments and finished projects) or, if you are already convinced, you can buy it now!
